TUFF CAMP:

TUFF Camp was started in 1990 with a focus on helping high school distance runners learn about how to maximize their training. This summer we will be holding camp in Michigan, and are looking for a few collegiate and post-collegiate distance athletes to help staff these camps.

The project team will be committed to help each high school athlete grow in the three areas that affect their performance: the physical, the mental, and the spiritual. This project provides a unique experience of personal training and mentoring by AIA staff in sports ministry, and presents an immediate opportunity to apply what you have learned as we are called upon to lead, teach and mentor the high school athletes attending the camps.

The initial days will be at AIA Headquarters learning The Principles, building team unity, and preparing to go and serve at the camp to follow. The next week will see our team host TUFF Camp at Hope College in Holland, MI. The teamwork involved and the fun of mentoring younger athletes not only athletically, but also spiritually, makes this project a life-changing experience.
